Blue and Gold Macaw, microchipped

Here we have our approx 17 year old blue and gold macaw Charlie for *****.
Selling due to medical reasons, am sadly now no longer able to keep her.

She is female, micro chipped and unfortunately unable to fly due to an accident with previous owner. Her wing was broken and she was never taken to the vets to have it set therefore it set wrong and now unable to fly and has a wonky feather, which adds to character!
Ideally she could do with a bigger cage now as she has grown some, or a perch in an area where she is ***** to roam but will need things to climb up and down….she can flutter and glide a little but not fly.

Temperament wise she is really a man’s bird….she will tolerate women when they are alone but will raise feathers in aggression if the person she takes too is nearby someone else trying to touch her. She will nip if you continue but it’s not hard and more of a warning but can hurt if caught wrong!
Again she will pick a favourite…for us it’s my potential son in law…she will do almost anything for him even to the point of regurgitating food for him!
Brought up in a house with cats and dogs with no issues…cats feed next to the cage and the bird and cats don’t bother with each other.

She says a few things but not much I’m afraid…hello and hi babe seems to be the most common. They are meant to be very talkative so possibly a persuasive person, with lots more time, might have more luck with teaching her more.

Overall she is a very lovely bird and we will be sorry to see her go.
