4 year old male oriental cat looking for special new home

I am looking for a home for a wonderful Oriental breed cat, named Watson. He is 4 years old and needs a special, patient home with somebody who understands cat behaviour and will be able to be patient and kind to Watson as he has a specific behaviour need.

He is neutered and s with a few other cats and for the most part, gets on well with the other cats. His best friend Sherlock is a pure bred Ragdoll and you could if this is an interest to you, as I feel bad to split them up. He has no medical issues and is regularly flead and worked. He has a serious road injury about 3 years ago, where he had some substantial surgery on his leg. It cost thousands, but he fully recovered and there are no lasting effects. He was run over by two cars and was lucky to - he has stayed away from the road since then and tends to stick to the back garden.

He is very friendly with humans and semi tolerant of dogs- could probably with a small or medium dog that is used to cats- he s with two spaniels at the moment.

He has a significant behaviour issue which is that he ‘sprays’ against objects in the home. The scent is low as he is neutered, but we cannot resolve why he sprays. It has been going on since he was about eighteen months old and has had no improvement. He might not do it for a few days, then he might do it a few times in a day. He likes to do it against vertical surfaces such as skirting boards, kitchen tiles, cupboard doors etc. It comes off with. Spray of kitchen cleaner and a wipe. We had a behaviourist who suggested it was a result of a multi cat household so a home with fewer pets might be suitable, or it could be one specific cat in the home. He seems friendly with all the cats but on occasion he seems to fight with one. Unsure if it’s fun/playing and I don’t allow it to happen when I see it. He needs a home with plenty of time and patience- but he is super friendly and very rewarding.
