Meet Tibs - Our Beautiful Big Tabby Boy
Tibs is a gorgeous, big tabby who's slowly discovering the joys of the soft life-and he's finding that he loves it. Just look at those striking black toe beans and those perfectly round cheeks!
This gentle boy adores a good pat, but head and neck scratches are his absolute favourite. Find the right spot, and he'll collapse in pure bliss. Tibs is calm and kind around young kids, taking their antics in stride with patience and grace.
Though reserved at first, Tibs is learning what it means to be a house cat. Once he feels safe, he'll quietly seek out the warmest, coziest spot in the house to stretch out and snooze the day away. He's not the type to come running when you walk in the door-but he will slowly creep closer when you sit with him, eventually melting into your side for some head rubs. If you're lucky, he might even treat you to a full-body flop.
After dark, Tibs becomes a full-fledged lap cat. He stretches out to his full length, turns completely boneless, and claims the most reclined person as his personal chaise lounge. And yes, he's a professional biscuit maker-kneading away on your lap, in the air, or even on your face (gently, of course-he's very self-aware and never scratches).
A dignified gent at heart, Tibs prefers to keep his paws on the ground and doesn't love being picked up. He can occasionally get overwhelmed by busy home life, so he appreciates having space and choice. If he flops onto his side mid-pat, that's your cue-either give him a break or grab a toy, because his cheeky side is about to shine!
Food is Tibs' greatest passion (aside from head scratches). He's not above telling dramatic lies about how starving he is-even if his bowl still has kibble and he's already had dinner. Don't fall for it-what he's really angling for is his favourite: wet food.
Tibs is living with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which simply means he needs a bit of extra care and should be the only cat in the household (or with other FIV+ cats). He's otherwise happy, healthy, and more than ready to bring love, laughter, and lazy cuddles to a calm, caring home.
Come meet this beautiful boy today at our Cranbourne shelter-you might just meet your perfect match..
