I have 2 fully vaccinated and microchipped American XL Bully’s, and this one is "Goody," a crossbreed. The other one featured on my profile is “Odin,” a full breed. It's important to note that the American XL Bully breed is facing a ban in the UK at the end of the year, and I have legal arrangements with my son that I don't want to jeopardise. Additionally, I'm currently facing financial difficulties in caring for these dogs, and the impending ban will only bring more associated costs. To add to the challenge, my dog allergies are worsening, and it’s also clear that I made these *****s at a challenging financial time. Ideally, I would like to **** both of my dogs to the same home to minimise their separation anxiety.
Goody is an affectionate, playful, and highly intelligent dog who comprehends a wide range of commands and phrases:
Commands and Phrases He Understands:
* Sit
* Stay
* Paw
* Other Paw
* Lay down
* Roll
* Cover (He will sit between your legs)
* Fetch (He will retrieve toys and mail)
* Up
* Down
* Nicely (To eat a treat gently)
* Tell me then (Bark)
* Eat (He will eat his food after you tell him to sit on command)
* Treat
* Kiss (He will lick you)
* Short whistle (He will come when called)
* No (He understands not to engage in undesirable behaviours)
* Away (He will leave you alone)
* Bed (He will go to his designated bed)
Diet and Care: Goody is on a dry food diet, fed twice a day in the morning and around 6:30 **** He is compliant with worming and flea/tick spray treatments, and he handles baths well.
Behavioural Traits: Goody does experience mid to low separation anxiety, which can manifest as chewing objects and excessive excitement leading to jumping up. He possesses a strong instinct drive, often correlated with his intelligence. He's working on managing his excitement. While he is generally good with children and has experience with kids aged 1 to 4, it's essential to monitor his excitement levels as he may jump up and inadvertently knock over young playmates. Goody can be territorial with other dogs, but he is also very playful once he becomes comfortable. It's worth noting that he's made significant progress through treatment and training, but he is still a puppy.
If you're interested in giving Goody a loving home and are equipped to handle his unique needs and training, please consider adopting him. Your decision to adopt both Goody and Odin together would be ideal for their well-being and happiness. Feel ***** to contact me for more information or to arrange a meeting.
