Hello, please provide this playful and intelligent boy a new home as soon as possible. Meeko just turned 5 in February 2025.
Meeko is a smart dog who understands basic commands like "sit," "paw," "drop," "go," and "walk." He enjoys playing fetch, squeaky toys, and tug-of-war.
Meeko loves his three 20-45 minutes daily walks (approximately 8 AM, 1 PM, and 8 PM), where he gets to explore his surroundings. At home, he’s just as happy curling up for a nap and enjoying the comforts of indoor life.
Meeko is excited to meet other dogs, though we haven’t actively socialized him with them. Since switching to a Haiti harness, he no longer pulls on the leash, making it easy for our 9-year-old to walk him confidently.
He adores children, wagging his tail and waiting eagerly by the door every day to greet our 12 and 9 year olds when they return from school.
Health wise, Meeko has no underlying issues but is allergic to chicken. While he loves plain boiled chicken breast, it causes digestive problems, so we keep him on dry food. He is very food-driven and will wait by your side during meals, so we separate him during our family dining times.
Unfortunately, our work schedule has changed significantly and we can no longer commit to routine daily walking making it difficult to provide the care he needs.
I have reached out to reputable rescues, including Dogs Trust and 8 Below Husky Rescue, but they currently have no foster space available.
Please only contact if you have either experienced or can offer a good loving home to Meeko. TIA!
