If there is one thing we know about Marcus, it is that he marches to the beat of his own drum.

This little cutie has caused quite the stir here at the shelter, everyone wants to be his new best friend, but he know what he wants, and he refuses to settle for any less. Marcus is like a spoilt prince, he accepts only the tastiest treats, only the comfiest couches, and only the warmest hearts.

Marcus needs a quiet home life, where he can be the only little one on your mind, and the only one soaking up all your attention. That means an adults only household, and no other furry siblings. But don't be fooled, despite Marcus' requirement to be the centre of your world, he can be a total diva. He wants pats and attention on his terms, and needs a family that knows when it's time to cuddle, and when it's time for some personal space.

Marcus needs to get to know you before he graces you with his cuddles and love, so don't expect him to hop right into your lap! But once he sniffs you out and you receive his stamp of approval, you will be bonded for life.

Marcus, in typical Jack Russell fashion, can be a little ball of anxiety and stress, so it is really important that he has a family that won't be leaving him alone for long periods of time, and understands that he should be your number one priority at all times. Marcus does not believe that distance makes the heart grow fonder, he is more of an anxious attachment and quality time kinda guy.
