Lola
Price: -Lola
This is such a hard one to write but I’m just wondering is anyone looking for a young staffy mixed dog in the West Yorkshire area?
Lola is very excitable and loves her long walks. She’s so so loving and it breaks my heart to do this but we just can’t match her energy anymore and I just want to do what’s right for her. We’ve had her for almost 2 years. She’s fully vaccinated.
She’s lovely with other dogs and even likes cats as she lived with one before us. She absolutely loves children but I’d say she’s better with older ones as she can be quite boisterous and tends to knock little ones over trying to kiss them!
She knows her basic commands (stay, wait, sit, paw, leave it etc) but does need some more work as she’s still young (3 in October). She is ok off lead but gets very distracted around other people so I tend to only do it when no one else is around.
I honestly can’t explain how loyal and loving Lola actually is. If you’re down and sad she’ll jump up next to you and hug and kiss you 🥰 she loves giving affection!
Reason we need to rehome Lola is because we are due our baby next month and I’m a bit wary how she will act around them as like I say she’s quite boisterous and full of energy. We can’t risk her accidentally hurting them. Also I’m struggling to give her the exercise she needs right now and fear it will get worse once baby is here. (Baby was an unplanned little miracle before anyone has anything mean to say. We wouldn’t of taken her in if we knew a baby was on the cards!)
Lola is fully house trained and was crate trained so is totally fine left home alone. I’ve watched her on a camera whilst at work and she literally just curls up in a ball and sleeps the whole time - she won’t even touch her treats I leave for her till I return bless her!
She would suit an active family or person who has the time and energy to give her long walks to tire her out. She’d really benefit from having a fully secure garden to play in too as she’s a little gymnast and can really jump!
Another reason we’re having to rehome is we’re in a flat without a fenced garden. I’ve been told it’ll be years before we can be rehoused so we’ve been looking for private and none round here will accept pets - I know technically illegal, but I’ve tried trust me!
I feel so sad to be doing this honestly as I can’t stand people getting pets Willy nilly and give them away but after weeks and weeks of debating with myself - this is really the best option for Lola herself. She needs endless amounts of love, attention and adventures!
Her previous owner did ask me to get back in touch if for whatever reason it didn’t work out - I’ve done this and haven’t had any response after a couple of messages over a few weeks so I’m taking it they have changed their mind which is completely fine of course! So this is a last resort unfortunately. I would of preferred her to go back to someone who she know and I knew who loved her but here we are.
We are based in Huddersfield West Yorkshire.
Good homes only please! This is not something I’d rush in to, would love to get to know the person/family before handing her over.
If you leave a comment if you have any further questions or would be interested to know more and I’ll message you!
Thanks in advance ☺️
