Lurcher cross springer spaniel looking for new home.

Beautiful 3 year old big boy needing a new home due to owners ill health.
Neutered and up to date with flea and worm treatment. Microchipped and vaccinated.
He's a very excitable dog with a strong prey instinct so cannot live with cats or small furries.
He's a lurcher crossed with a springer spaniel so likes lots of attention and things to do.
Doesn't need much exercise but loves zoomies in a large enclosed field. His recall is terrible if he spots something that takes his interest so taking him to an enclosed area is vital.
He's a big and very strong dog so needs a strong owner as he will initially pull on the lead with excitement when going for a walk and will attempt to bolt if he spots a cat or squirrel.
He's good with children but due to his size and excitability he will knock them over.
He's part greyhound so he will steal food from a child's hand, or eat anything you leave on the kitchen side, including plastic bowls. He can reach higher than you think.
He's trained in basic commands but is not the brightest and will 'forget' when distracted by people, other animals, or new toys.
He's crate trained and happy to be locked in overnight or for short periods in the day.
Loves to spend most of the day lounging on the sofa.
He is totally unaware of his size so will lounge on you too.
Looking for a forever home. This is a very reluctant rehoming due to owners progressively worsening condition.
Will come with crate, bed, etc.
