Jazz needs your help!!

Jazz came into the care of The Home confused, lost, and sad after losing her only person in this world when they passed.

We would love to tell you that Jazz's journey will be amazing from this point onwards, but her hardships have only just started, and we are desperatley calling for a forever home that can give her just what she needs.

Our vets quickly worked out that Jazz has grade 4 luxating patella's - dislocating knee caps. You would assume a dog with this condition would be in a lot of pain, but Jazz strides through her condition with a smile on her face and a wag in her tail, her ongoing treatment will not be easy, but it will be worthwhile! The chance to give a dog in need a home, that is struggling in a shelter will fill your heart - we promise! Over time, it is likely that she will struggle with lameness, osteoarthrisis. Daily medication, restriction of her excercise and the potential for surgery are all important factors to consider, but we can not let her continue to stay in the shelter.

At this stage, the success of surgery to correct her patella's does not look realistic, she is jumpy and energetic, and not in a position to recover from such a significant surgery successfully. But this is no way reduces how much she deserves a warm and loving home like the rest of our dogs in need.

Jazz is loving, affectionate, funny, adores walks, loves her treats, is well behaved and truely - so deserving of the best you can give her!
